Are You a Candidate for LASIK?

• At least 18 to 20 years of age with a stable spectacle prescription for at least 12 months.
• Healthy corneas with sufficient corneal thickness (measured via pachymetry).
• No active ocular infections, severe keratoconus, uncontrolled diabetes, or autoimmune collagen vascular diseases.
• Not pregnant or nursing (due to temporary hormonal fluctuations affecting corneal curvature).

Refractive Correction Options Offered

• Custom Wavefront LASIK: A micro-thin corneal flap is created, followed by computerized excimer laser reshaping of the underlying corneal bed, with virtually instant visual recovery within 24 hours.
• PRK / Surface Ablation: The surface epithelial layer is gently removed and the laser reshapes the cornea directly. An excellent, safe choice for patients with thin corneas or active athletic lifestyles.
• ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens): For individuals with very high myopia (e.g. -8.0D to -20.0D) or corneas too thin for laser ablation, a biocompatible Swiss Collamer lens is painlessly placed inside the eye in front of the natural lens without removing any corneal tissue.
